Stop Training Your Brain. Start Directing It.

When people hear the phrase “brain training,” they usually think of apps, puzzles, or games that promise to sharpen memory and improve focus.

There’s nothing wrong with those. They can be engaging, even helpful in small ways.

But they’re not what actually creates meaningful change.

The bigger issue isn’t that your brain needs more exercise. It’s that it needs more direction.

Most people spend their time taking in more information. More content, more advice, more perspectives. They assume that if they just learn enough, something will eventually click.

What usually happens instead is the opposite. The more input they take in, the harder it becomes to decide what to do with it.

That’s where people start to feel stuck.

Not because they lack ability, but because everything starts to feel equally important. Every option looks viable. Every direction feels possible. And without a clear way to filter those choices, nothing moves forward.

So they wait. They think. They go back and forth.

And over time, that hesitation becomes their normal.

If you want something different, you have to start by being more intentional with how you approach your day.

Planning doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be deliberate. Deciding what matters before the day begins gives you a level of control most people never experience. Instead of reacting to everything that comes your way, you start operating with purpose.

That shift alone can change more than most people expect.

But before you can move forward, you have to understand yourself.

What are you actually working toward? What holds your attention? What are you naturally good at? What kind of timeline are you operating within?

Without those answers, it’s easy to put in effort without making real progress. You can stay busy for a long time without getting any closer to where you want to be.

That’s where many people find themselves, even if they don’t realize it.

They feel like they want more, but they can’t quite explain what’s missing. They think about making a change, but they never fully commit to it. They wait for the right moment, the right opportunity, or the right feeling.

But that moment rarely shows up on its own.

At some point, getting unstuck comes down to a decision.

Wanting something different isn’t enough. Thinking about it isn’t enough. Real change starts when you’re willing to adjust how you think, how you act and what you expect from yourself.

It’s not always comfortable, but it is straightforward.

You decide, and then you follow through.

WHEN MOST PEOPLE consider the concept of brain training to improve learning, they tend to think of those online game programs or puzzles that are purported to give the brain a “workout” by practicing memory and problem-solving skills to sharpen the mind. Others consider more advanced techniques aimed at optimizing brain wave activity. Although the games can be fun, I assure you there is a better way and I can help.

First, it is important to set yourself up for success. Plan your day and train your brain. Tell your mountains to crumble or walk around them. This task can be daunting if you are not ready, but I assure you when you make the choice to do so, it can change your life.

First you have to learn about yourself and know what you want. What are your interests, what are your goals, what skills you have as well as your set time frame? Figuring these things out can then help you find direction and a path to take, as well as helping you understand your passion and purpose. Yet, the means to know where you’re going, and how to get there may require you to become unstuck. The real truth is many people do not even realize they are stuck in the first place, and that is where the problem begins.

First things first, you need to get unstuck. You need to get out of the rut you have been in for way too long. Wanting, wishing, hoping and dreaming are just not enough to do that. In order to change your life, you must be willing to change yourself.

Want to learn more? Let’s continue this conversation with a one on one discussion. The strategies I share have worked for thousands and you could be a part of that elite group.
