Being in the moment. But ...

(Published 4-20-18) I truly believe it is important to live in the moment. But what do you do when you aren't enjoying the moment??

Try this – Visualize or write down three times in your life when you felt the most alive. These experiences will be different for each of us. Maybe it’s when you were skiing down a slope? Maybe it’s your wedding day? Maybe it’s the birth of your child? Maybe it’s when you were quiet by yourself in nature?

Why is it that you felt so alive? Write down the answer to this question.

Next- start to focus on your goals. Start to visualize the same emotion with achieving your current goals. This is a pretty simple technique, and it is very effective. Remember, you cannot have thoughts associated with success and failure at the same time. It is truly impossible. There is a law in physics that states no two objects can occupy the same space at the same time, and the same is true here. Attaching emotion to your goals will help you get unstuck and back on track to achieving your desired results.

These personal reflections will help fuel living your life with purpose. Every person, organization, company, and the team has to overcome negativity and adversity to define themselves and create their success. No one goes through life untested. The answer to these tests is positive thoughts — the kind of positive thoughts that consists of the vision, trust, optimism, enthusiasm, and spirit that defines great leaders and their dreams. Strong, positive thoughts are powerful means of self-transformation and are a key element in the creation of the life you desire.

If you want to fine-tune your brain to be more positive, let’s connect and set up a time to talk.
